Advice For Attorneys On The Immigration Consequences of State and Federal Cases
Dan received his law degree from the University of London, England and subsequently studied for his LL.M. at Columbia Law School, New York and the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Having qualified as a Barrister in the UK (roughly the equivalent of a trial attorney), he moved from London to the United States in 2012 and subsequently to Buffalo in 2015.
Dan's practice entirely revolves around the intersection of state law criminal & family cases with federal immigration law. He is highly experienced in providing attorneys with expert analysis of their cases from an immigration perspective, including how to avoid and mitigate such consequences. He advises on the necessary steps to comply with an attorney's ethical and substantive obligations in this field, along with post-conviction support where mistakes have been made.
Outside of CrimImmAdvisal.com, Dan practices before the United States Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the United States District Court (W.D.N.Y.) in immigration related habeas and APA claims, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
